Meet the team

Susan graduated with Honours from the University of Edinburgh having been awarded the McGregor Gold Medal for the most distinguished dental graduate 1993. After completing a year’s Vocational Training in Fife she returned to Northern Ireland and took up an associate post with Shore Road Dental Practice in August 1994. She was awarded a membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) by the RCS England in 1998.

Susan has always been involved with teaching and mentoring and postgraduate education and training in QUB School of Dentistry and the Northern Ireland Vocational Training Scheme. She examined for MFGDP (UK) and MJDF (UK) for 16 years therefore keeping up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry.After a long tenure as Director of the Northern Ireland branch of the Faculty of of General Dental Practioners she is currently the Northern Irelan representative on the board of FGDP (UK).This is the academic home of General Dental Practice which seeks to improve the standard of care delivered to patients through standard setting, publications, postgraduate training and assessment, education and research. Susan is also active in the Northern Ireland branch of the British Dental Association working with fellow dental professionals liasing with the DHSSPSNI regarding the provision of dental care in Northern Ireland.

Susan is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry and has been working within implant dentistry since 2003. Implants are now considered the gold standard for replacing missing teeth and she has completed many postgraduate training courses to enable both the placement and restoration of implants in the practice. She is currently involved with groups to help mentor women in the field of implant dentistry and accepts implant referrals from fellow practioners. Susan is married with 3 children.

Christine graduated from the Edinburgh University in 1987 beginning her dental career at McCarters dental practice in Armagh. In 1997 she moved to Holywood to join Barry Mark, Susan Nelson and the team
at Shore Road as an associate.

Following further study she was awarded membership of the FGDP from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. In 2010 Christine achieved Denplan Excel accreditation demonstrating a commitment to provide best practice and excellence in patient care.

Christine enjoys her work and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and in treating anxious patients helping them to feel at ease in her surgery. Christine is married with 2 children and her favourite family times are spent walking in Donegal with her spaniel Roobarb. She also loves to sing with her choir - the Contact Singers.

Terri graduated from Queens University Belfast in July 2009. After completing one years vocational training at Shore Road Dental Practice she was appointed as an Associate Dentist and has since remained a valuable member of the dental team offering treatment on a NHS ,Private and Denplan basis.

The practice is delighted with her commitment in striving to provide quality care to our patients. In 2010 Terri became Denplan Excel accredited, certified to demonstrate her continued commitment to quality improvement and is an additional mark of quality to all member dentists. In 2012 Terri was awarded her MJDF from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This has broadened both her clinical knowledge and skills in the practice of Dentistry.

She is currently a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (NI) Division and performs an active role on the local board also assisting as a tutor with the local study group set up for future candidates. Terri has a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry and enjoys working with children. Terri is married with two children.

Hannah graduated with distinction from Queen's University Belfast in July 2014 and joined the practice as a Vocational Dental Practitioner. Hannah settled in so well that in August 2015 she became a full time associate dentist treating patients on a NHS, Private and Denplan basis. Hannah was quick to complete her MJDF qualification in 2016 which was awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons England. She is now a committee member of the Faculty of General Dental Practioners NI division in which she has roles at the local study club and in events planning.

Hannah is a lovely friendly, conscientious dentist who has a great ability to put those who are nervous at ease. Whether you are a regular attender or someone who hasn't been in years Hannah will help get your mouth back on track. Hannah has a keen passion for preventative dentistry which is all about helping you keep your teeth for longer. She has a keen interest in restorative, cosmetic and paediatric dentistry. Hannah has completed her training with Invisalign clear brace system which allows patients to achieve lovely straight teeth without the metal work! In Hannah's spare time she loves to keep active and has been known to partake in 5km mud runs just for fun! Her hobbies also include cooking, entertaining for friends and city breaks.

I am a dentist from Aberdeenshire who has recently moved to Holywood. I have worked in general practice in Scotland, Northern Ireland and New Zealand. I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2014 with commendation. I enjoy dentistry where I always aim to work to the highest possible standard that delivers good patient centred care.

In my down time I love spending time with wife and my young daughter.

I’m also a keen hill runner, who loves getting out into the mountains.

Toni joined us as Practice Manager in Shore Rood in June 2021. She previously worked in retail as a Commercial Manager for over 14 years and was looking for a new adventure. Toni’s experience in retail management has giving her a valued insight into the planning and legalities involved in delivering results and running a successful business unit and delivering fantastic, personalized service to all our Patients.
